    Susan Lang is an Investigator in the Wichita KS Area Office of the US Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division.  Susan has been with the Wage and Hour Division for 34 years, and is responsible for the enforcement of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) as well as the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).  In the presentation, attendees will gain a better understanding of the application of the FLSA to their business, and will receive practical tips for compliance.  In addition, the FMLA will also be discussed, including proper notification and designation of the FMLA, as well as complying with medical certification and return to work statements.  If time allows, the Nursing Mother provisions of the FLSA will also be discussed.
