    John Ricker has been involved in agriculture in some format his entire life. John grew up on a diversified family farm consisting of dryland, irrigation and a cattle backgrounding operation in central Kansas.

    After graduating from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness, John and his wife Linda joined the family farming operation for 20 years with John’s parents near Sterling, Kansas. His next venture was managing Silica Grain, a grain elevator/chemical supply business for the next four years before being offered the position as a safety director with Ag Services LLC where he assisted local cooperatives in central Kansas with Risk Management issues, developing safety programs, employee training, and governmental compliance issues.

    In January 2011 John stepped into the role of a Risk Management Area Manager for the former KFSA which is now ProValue Insurance. In this role of Safety & Compliance Area Manager, John is responsible for supervising several of the Ag Services Safety Directors, assisting companies with their Risk Management Programs and also assisting with the marketing efforts of the Safety and Compliance division of ProValue Insurance. He also currently holds the Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) designation.

    John and his wife Linda live in Sterling, Kansas, they have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. In their spare time, John and Linda enjoy working on landscaping and home improvement projects.
