Heather Wright-Renick RN, BSN, CN-BN is the Director of the Breast Center and a breast nurse navigator for the Breast Center at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. Heather received her LPN (1999) and ADN (2001) from Dodge City Community College and her BSN from the University of Kansas School of Nursing in 2013. She has worked at St. Catherine Hospital for 17 years, first on the Medical/Surgical floor, and then in the Intensive Care Unit. Heather was diagnosed in May 2012 with breast cancer which required surgery and chemotherapy. After she completed her treatment and returned to work, she was offered the opportunity to start a breast program at SCH. In the fall of 2013, she started working as the program coordinator and breast navigator.
Heather is the wife of Derrick Renick, who is a farmer in Gray County, and a mother to Jasmine 21 and Zaine 13. In her spare time (hahahahaha), Heather enjoys traveling, watching reality TV, talking to anyone who will listen (and even those who won’t) about breast cancer awareness, reading, and sitting in the warmth of the sun.
