    Utilizing Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace

    Are you looking to be more effective at work? Do you know to productively respond to problems and difficult situations? This session will provide you with information on:

    • What emotional intelligence is
    • Why non-verbal cues are important and how to read them
    • How you can lean on your emotions to solve problems, improve your effectiveness, and reduce frustration
    • And more!

    Lana graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in Business Administration and major in Finance, and from the University of Denver with a MS in Strategic Human Resources Management. Lana is currently employed at Sunflower Electric Power Corporation, where she serves as a Human Resources Benefit Administrator and is responsible for managing benefit programs and for various tasks including recruitment, employee relations, and ongoing human resources projects. Lana also serves as an Adjunct Professor for Newman University at Garden City Community College. Lana is a Certified Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-CP) and a Board member for the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Southwest Kansas Chapter. Lana resides in Garden City with her husband and four children
