SHRM of SWKS Receives EXCEL Platinum Award

    SHRM of Southwest Kansas Earns Excel Award
     In Second Consecutive Year For
    Elevating Human Resources, Improving Workplaces

    SHRM recently awarded SHRM of Southwest Kansas its prestigious EXCEL Platinum Award for the Chapter's exceptional work and accomplishments in 2024.

    This award celebrates the Chapter's strategic initiatives, innovative programming, and unwavering commitment to elevating the HR profession and improving workplaces across the region. 

    The Excel Award - given at the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels -- is a symbol of excellence in chapter leadership. Honorees are recognized for activities that align with SHRM's mission to empower people and workplaces by advancing human resources practices and maximizing human potential.

    "SHRM's impact on the world of work is made possible by the dedication and leadership of our chapters and state councils," said Johnny C. Taylor, SHRM-SCP, president and chief executive officer of SHRM. "The Platinum EXCEL Award is not only a celebration of the great work done by SHRM of Southwest Kansas -- it's recognition of their focus, innovation, and determination to create better workplaces. Their HR leadership is truly exemplary."

    In 2024, SHRM of Southwest Kansas led several impactful initiatives, including [INSERT KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS OR PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS], supporting the growth and success of HR professionals and organizatoins across the southwest Kansas region.


    Last year SHRM awarded SHRM of Southwest Kansas its prestigious EXCEL Silver Award for the Chapter's accomplishments in 2023.

    SHRM of Southwest Kansas earned the 2023 Silver EXCEL Award by focusing on retention and dual membership, and as a result increased our membership by 13%. Another initiative for the year was to provide our chapter membership and HR professionals with professional development opportunities close to home. We were able to provide 9 professional development credits this year. Our third initiative was supporting our SHRM Foundation. SHRM of Southwest Kansas recognizes the importance of the SHRM Foundation and its initiatives to help HR students and professionals, and our way of giving back was by making a $500 donation to the Foundation.
